Summary of position:

Asset Management Operations Regulatory Reporting is responsible for managing highly sensitive information requirements from regulators, exchange, and SROs in different market. The team mission is to support reg reporting in the production of various trade, transaction and position, client reports within Americas, EMEA and Asia. The teams’ play an integral role in ensuring that AM Ops meets its regulatory obligation globally. The team consist of talented and highly motivated individuals who are extensively involved in preparation and submission of reports, as well enhance control around these processes. We seek a Vice President with excellent leadership and managerial skills that can provide effective supervision and judgement with respect to team functional mandate.

The VP role within this team includes the following responsibilities:

RTB:

  • Supervising the daily work in the team, ensuring that functions has proper coverage, escalating concerns to mgmt.
  • Reviewing and enhancing processes, SOPs, checklists and reports to ensure they are accurate and current.
  • Supporting local mgmt., and regional heads to ensure that deliverables for regions specific initiatives (BAU and project related) are met in a timely manner.
  • Championing an effective escalation process and practise within the team, including a thorough analysis of data quality issues, structural issues and exceptions; preparation of incident reports; recommendation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Providing team level change mgmt. /project mgmt. leadership at AM Ops initiatives.
  • Proactively work on migrating regulatory activities/processes across regions that are performed by AM Ops. Ensuring all artifacts related to migration activities are properly documented.

CTB:

  • Hands on expertise in documenting regulatory requirements, control framework, exception management, data analysis and testing.
  • Develop expert knowledge in regulatory requirements, process and system for a number of reports supported by Asset Management.
  • Have hands on experience in performing impact assessment on these reports for new product, new market, business reorg, system changes and new/changed regulations.
  • Work with legal, compliance, technology, and rest of AM ops team to manage Change Program and Issue Resolution for these reports
  • Hands on exposure in producing project documentation, including project plan, milestone, BRD, process flow, testing and project status reporting

Experience/Skills/System requirements:

Experience with regulatory reporting, particularly from an operations perspective will be greatly valued.

Required: RTB/CTB skills includes -

  • Demonstrate good people, process, and project/change mgmt. skills
  • Solid understanding of financial products (commodities,, equities, Derivatives, FI)
  • Good understanding of regulatory framework and practice, regulators, SROs and financial products
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills with ability to understand complex workflow
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of job related operational and compliance procedures,
  • Understands properly & addresses firm compliance and reputational judgement issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide concise team communications and management updates.
  • Exposure in basic programming skills and preferably some scripting language
  • Exposure to rule interpretation doc, requirement docs, control design control and data analysis of upstream to downstream impact analysis etc.
  • Exposure to manual testing methodologies and development and execution of test scripts
  • It would be a plus to have knowledge of Rule finder, Alteryex, Tableau, Signavio, etc..
